Aharrr me hearties! Yes, you’ve guessed it; I’m still slowly making my way through OPI’s Pirates Of The Caribbean Collection and today it’s the turn of OPI Steady As She Rose to join her mates Stranger Tides, Mermaid’s Tears and Planks-A-Lot on-board the good ship Through The Looking Glass!

The Pirates Of The Caribbean set is one of my favourite OPI collections… well, ever, really. I know a lot of people out there weren’t impressed that the colours were so un-Jack Sparrow like, but its range of dusty creamy pastels totally did the business for me – pirate-appropriate or not!

Steady As She Rose is no exception – although I’ll admit I didn’t expect to fall in love with it quite as much as I did! Pink has never been my favourite nail polish colour and I assumed this would be yet another boring pastel designed for the French mani and blushing brides market… but instead, what I got was an unexpectedly-beautiful and delicate lilac-leaning pale pink that had me smitten in seconds.

The other reason Steady As She Rose made quite such a speedy pirouette into my heart was its formula. OPIs can be a bit hit or miss in my books yet there is no denying how wonderful Steady As She Rose was; a beautiful glossy smooth finish, a stunning self-levelling formula and a dreamy opacity in two quick and easy coats. It’s worth noting that this was pretty much the case with all the Pirates polishes – scarily streaky first coat turns into lush creamy even colour by the second… so don’t be fooled by first impressions!

This is absolutely the kind of nail polish I love encountering – one that not only looks utterly gorgeous but actually surpasses your expectations. It’s a versatile mainstream colour, but thanks to that pretty lilac-leaning hue and dreamy dusty quality, just a touch unusual too.

Steady As She Rose is a delicate dusty delight, the colour of purple sweet peas or phloxs blowing in the breeze. Feminine but not overly girlie, this is the kind of pink I could definitely get on-board with! Who’s a Pretty Polly, then?!

Offering an elegant array of dusty blues and baby pinks, the Always Bare for You Collection not only complements the bride-to-be but also anyone looking for a hint of color for their nails. I've got reviews and swatches of all six new shades to share with you today. To read on, click......

This moody dusty blue is the first shade I tried from the collection. Even though this is a "sheer" collection, I was still pretty shocked by how sheer the formulation was. One coat provided barely a tint and because the finish was uneven, I had to go in with two more coats. The polish is also quite runny and although three coats provided a nice and sheer finish, the drying time was impossibly long.

A very sheer gray, Engage-meant to Be applied evenly on its first coat so I left it as such for just a light wash of color. You can certainly apply additional coats for a more intense effect but the drying time would be significantly increased (up to ~30 minutes, conservatively speaking).

Next up is a pale milky baby pink. The formulation is fairly sheer and the application is quite patchy. I used two coats for the swatches below but I'm not 100% happy with how that turned out. Ideally, a third coat would really even things out but I didn't want to deal with the long wait time.

A slightly peachy nude version of Always Bare for You, Bare My Soul is equally sheer and patchy. I had to use three coats for an even finish but with a more skillful application, you can probably get away with two coats.

This is a dusty champagne frost with a comparatively more opaque formulation. However, the finish is very streaky. I used one coat for the swatches below.

Review: Opi Nail Lacquer

Undoubtedly my favorite out of the six, Throw Me a Kiss is an iridescent pink shimmer suspended in a clear base. The shimmer distribution is phenomenal so one coat gives a nice and even finish.

I'm not generally not fond of sheer nail polishes and it's mostly due to their uneven and runny formulation. This collection from OPI suffers from similar issues so you either have to put up with a patchy finish or struggle with the painstakingly long drying time. Out of the six, the only shade I would recommend is "Throw Me A Kiss". Are you a fan of sheer nail polishes? Share with me in the comments below!I am here again with a nail color review from my all time favorite brand. Yes!! It is OPI and the shades are Passion, Suzi’s Hungary Again!, OPI Red. The thing I like the most about OPI Nail Lacquers is their consistency; with just one to two coats, it gives beautiful color. Today, I am going to review three beautiful colors starting from light to dark. Let’s get right in to it.

OPI Nail Lacquer In Passion, Suzi's Hungary Again!, OPI Red Review - Opi Nail Polish Quality

Adds the perfect touch of subtle to all looks. Soft shades by OPI whisper romance, sophistication, and style. This range of delicately feminine pinks, creams, violets, roses, nudes, and whites is the ideal choice for beautiful brides and prom princesses. Formaldehyde-free. It creates a fusion of the classic and the contemporary in art and fashion.

Nail Polish In Shade 'isn't That Precious?' By Opi

The packaging is very classy and these nail paints come in a glass bottle that helps during the selection process. It has good medium sized brush that covers most part of the nail with just one swipe.

Passion is a very soft, light pink nude shade. It is slightly more towards pink in real. The consistency is very thin. I applied 3 coats in the swatches to get the perfect color. It does not leave any brush marks on the nails which is great considering I had applied three coats. The nail polish dries pretty fast in between the coats, which too is amazing. This shade can be worn in all seasons and it suits all skin tones. Staying power is also good. It stays for almost 7 to 8 days with washing and cleaning.

Suzi’s Hungary Again! is a warm medium pink shade with little shimmer. The shimmer is not very prominent. It reflects a shine in the nails. This shade works best during summer. When applied, this shade makes our nails pop out. The consistency is very creamy. We get a perfect warm pink shade with two coats. It does not leave brush marks and it also doesn’t get thickened. It stays for a week with heavy washing which is quite good. I have applied 2 coats in the swatch.

Don's Nail Obsession!: Opi Soft Shades (pastels) 2016

OPI Red is my favorite shade among these three. OPI Red is a bright red shade with right amount of silver shimmer in it. This red color with shimmer makes our nails look very cool and attractive. The consistency is amazing. Left swatch is one coat and right one is two coats. We cannot even see the difference between the two as both look similar. With just one coat, it gives a perfect finish.

This shade works well for all skin types. We can wear it for all occasions as well. Staying power is also great. It stays for 7 to 8 days with heavy work. I love this nail color and I think everyone should own a red nail color, probably this one!
